[EN-loG] JAY VLOG Tea and dessert place
There’s a gentle kind of magic in tracing the paths of those we admire. Today, I found myself at the tea house Jay visited in his EN-LOG video.
I went with a little hope in my heart—maybe I’d get to sit in the very seat where Jay sat. And lucky me, that spot was open, and the owner kindly let me settle in.
Bukchon Lounge, Seoul
Of course, I had to order the same dessert as Jay: Yakgwa, that golden chewy treat. But when it came to tea, I had to follow my own preferences. I take my tea seriously and with spring in full bloom, I chose 백아차 a delicate white tea. This tea is light, floral, and gently sweet, with a fresh, grassy aroma that feels like a quiet morning in the garden. I loved the soft notes of magnolia and that hint of sweet fruit swirling in the cup. Fittingly, magnolias are blooming all over Seoul right now, so it felt like the perfect match for the season.
백아차 and a flower-shaped yakgwa
The Yakgwa Platter was just right with the tea, chewy, not too sweet, and comforting in that simple, familiar way. For a moment, as I sat there, it felt like time slowed down.
Same spot, same dessert.
I left the tea house feeling lighter, grateful for these soft moments and the small joys that connect us across time. Maybe next time, I’ll try Jay’s favorite tea, too.
